My Many Mani’s this weekend

First…what do you think of the new look?  Thought I would try it on for size, just for fun.

Is everything still user/reader friendly?

And next…My many mani’s!

(I had some free time this weekend :))

Number 1 manicure was just an upgrade to the Gosh Holographic Hero I had on.  The dots on top were made with Glitter Girl`s Teal Blue Holo, and Sally Hanson`s Diamond Strength Twist of Lime.

Manicure number 2 was a gold base GOSH 554 Gold, and the drawings were acrylic paint and my fantastic **sarcastic eyeroll**

artistic skills 🙂

Manicure number 3!  This was a layering of the two new Sally Hansen Diamond Strength polishes I picked up.  (first layer) Black Diamonds – which was a charcoal`ish sort of black and holographic sparkles.  Which unfortunately, did not show up at all, once applied.  The next color is Twist of Lime.  It is a really interesting color – I like it a lot.  The bottle makes it looks like an opaque glittery lime green, but once applied, it is a smooth polish with very fine glitter and just a hint of green.

Manicure number 4!  My favorite of them all, was my very first use of Hits Mari Moon MultiGirl Cupcake, I received a while back from Ninja Polish.  The glitter is the perfect amount of all different sizes, and goes on with generous amounts  – very little playing around to position the glitter.  And it took two layers of top coat to make it smooth.

And last, but not least…the polish I am still wearing today……drum roll….Manicure number FIVE!!!  and oldie, but a beauty OPI Kardashian Collection’s Disco Dolls.  Typical full coat glitter polish – very grainy and bumpy – but fantastic.  I could not, for the life of me – figure out the settings on my camera to capture the glitter mix.  It is so pretty!  Mainly gold, but with turquoise, pink and silver (at least) making an appearance.

I am not a fan of the whole Kardashian world domination, but I do like the polish line they are pimping!!

More stamping!

There must be one of those Murphy’s Laws, or a proverb in a fortune cookie, that says: when you are playing with your nail stamping, it will looks great – when you are trying to create an awesome manicure with stamping,  (that you want to post on your blog) – it will keep screwing up and looking gross 😦

If a saying doesn’t exist, I will have to figure out how to shorten that.   And make it one 🙂

I also tried a great idea by poundandprincess – which was to stamp on the Ghoulish Glow “glow in the dark” polish that came in the Wicked Collection.  It would have worked, if the polish was able to go on thicker – but the amount that gets left in the plate to get stamped, wasn’t enough to show up in the dark 😦  It was a good idea though!

Alas, I have a mediocre mani to show you, and have put away my stamping stuff in it’s drawer…for a long while.

My first try:

And, the next try:

Ohhh, it’s not that bad, I guess! 🙂

Have an awesome day!

Zombicure: aka Zombies on my nails

This was not in any way, shape or form – my original or unique idea.  I admit, I didn’t do exactly as this person did – but that is only because, in all honesty, I am not a very good artist 😉

This was the Youtube tutorial I was trying to recreate:

Frankenstein’s Missus ♥Halloween Nail Art♥ by

Here is my version!

Holo Holoween Part II

Okdokie, this is the real post.

The reason for the previous “test” post was because I needed to recreate my Facebook Page. (  If you had “Liked” that previous page – it will be deleted soon, and this current address will be the permanent one.  I have no idea what I did, but I messed up when I started the first one 🙂

So, onto the manicure part of my nail polish blog!

I have 2 versions of this manicure.  There was just something missing, so when you see the second set of pics – it’s the same manicure, just with a little extra pizazz on each nail.

As much as I would like to say that I am super ambitious, and did 2 full nail art manicures in 1 day…. alas, I am too lazy.

# 1 mani has a base of Nfu Oh Holo # 66 and stripes of orange and black (that’s the Halloween part of the manicure 🙂 )

And the # 2 mani is the same as the above, but I’ve added 2 coats of SpectraFlair top coat, and two big fat orange glitter pieces on each nail.

Halloween …. stamping, sparkles, crackles …..sounds exciting! Day 6

Yes, it sounds exciting, doesn’t it?   Hmmm, maybe not all that exciting – but I had fun doing it 🙂  I haven’t used any of my crackle polishes in a long time, and when I saw the Halloween manicure by blogger Frivalicious – I was inspired.

And here, may I present to you…. my piece de resistence (how the heck do you spell that??)

Voila !

And, by the way – as a side note to last night’s post about the new stamping stuff.  The XL stamper is great.  The FUN Fab Ur Nails stamping plate is great.  The skulls plate – not so much.  I tried all of the images, and the one on my thumb was the only one that worked really well.  And I haven’t tried the fruit plate (ha ha fruit plate!) yet.

Enjoy your day!!
